I've been an entrepreneur since I was 17, when I owned a local service business. At 19 I started a technology business. I've been building companies ever since.

In retail, I spent more than 17 years at one of the country's largest grocery chains, leading its loyalty and campaign management systems across hundreds of stores, including a personalized-offer engine that delivered $10 million in extra sales.

In marketing technology, I delivered strategy, products and analytics for agencies serving major brands. I've sat on both sides of the table: the brand hiring agencies, and the agency doing the work.

As a founder, I started and sold a mobile offers company, and I own and run several businesses that are active today.

So I know what connected, personalized marketing can do, and what it costs. Big retailers spend millions to connect their data. Small and mid-sized businesses, mine included, can't afford the agencies, technology and people it takes to compete and keep growing.
